LES PETITES CANTINES
Open to all, the purpose of the Petites Cantines project is to help people meet and socialize via a network of locally organized meals. People who live or work in the same area can share a tasty meal in a Petite Cantine - made using seasonal produce from a short circuit supply chain - at an affordable price. The Fonds Groupe SEB provided funding for the very first Petite Cantine in the Vaise district of Lyon, as well as the next two which opened in Perrache and Paul Santy, followed by Lille and Strasbourg in 2018.
In 2019, Fonds Groupe SEB continued supporting the initiative by backing the Petites Cantines Réseau.
The purpose of the Petites Cantines Réseau is to ensure that the ethics of the project are respected, encourage and support spinoffs and facilitate the sharing of best practices and training of network members.
The Groupe SEB Fund has supported Les Petites Cantines since the opening of the first Petite Cantine in the Vaise area of Lyon in 2016, followed by the opening of further neighborhood cafeterias in France.
