During the pandemic, we had to scale down our forecasts across our and our clients’ stores. By contrast, we had to absorb the rise in demand among large retailers and on e-commerce platforms. We handled up to 120 line items, which was twice as much as we usually manage during busy periods. Meanwhile, we also dealt with the absence of incoming products from Asia, followed by their large-scale return in June with peaks of 200 containers per week. Alongside the maritime network, we organised products transported by train, which implied more complicated management and adapted human resources processes. The cornerstones of this success were the close ties between EMEA suppliers and the market, the solidity of our processes with our providers and the major commitment of our teams. The presence of the management team and their trust in us enabled us to continue our efforts.
