The Groupe SEB Foundation’s third Volunteer Day was held in Ecully on 10 January..
The event brought together 76 participants, employees involved in the Foundation’s projects and representatives of the social and solidarity economy.
The day began with a round-table discussion on the theme of food for disadvantaged people with Fondalim and ANDES, a network of “solidarity” food shops that became a member of the Foundation in 2012. The NGO CARE then presented its programme to raise awareness of sustainable development and healthy eating among young people, conducted with the active collaboration of Groupe SEB employees in Brazil.
The afternoon was devoted to workshops on a variety of subjects, such as hosting young people thinking about their future careers, structures for supporting people with disabilities etc.
The day was also an opportunity to recall our partnership dynamic with the Don en Nature (“gift in kind”) agency.
Attending the day, Thierry de La Tour d’Artaise, CEO of Groupe SEB and Chairman of the Foundation, and Harry Touret, Human Resources Director, congratulated the staff for their involvement and urged them to keep up the good work.
