Groupe SEB has taken part in numerous collaborative research programs involving private businesses and research labs. Standing at the crossroads of several areas of expertise, these initiatives are an opportunity to build future products and services that will enhance consumers' lives. For example, as part of the Open Food System program, a successful four-year collaborative effort resulted in the development of a platform of innovative digital services by combining the research work of experts in the humanities, artificial intelligence and food science.

SUBMIT A collaboration proposal
Co-certified by three competitiveness hubs – VITAGORA, Q@ALIMED and NUTRITION SANTÉ LONGÉVITÉ (NSL) – and grouping academic and industrial partners, the NUTRICE project was supported by the French state and local authorities. It served to understand the influence of various cooking parameters on the organoleptic and nutritional qualities of rice. The project gave rise to new ranges of rice cookers responding to consumer demands on nutrition and health.
Providing personalized easy recipes to cook at home with digital coaching and dietary objective feedback to the person, Cook2Health (C2H) will raise motivation to adopt healthy dietary habits and prevent chronic diseases. C2H targets the market of consumers willing to preserve their health capital by maintaining a good nutritional status through adequate diets and lifestyles. C2H aims to develop new products, tools and services used to cook at home. The project is funded by the European Commision.
This activity has received funding from the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). This body of the European Union receives support from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
